questionmarkWhat is a lead sheet? A lead sheet is a form of musical notation that specifies the essential elements of a popular song: the melody, lyrics and harmony. The melody is written in modern Western music notation, the lyric is written as text below the staff and the harmony is specified with chord symbols above the staff.

  • Say the names of the notes as you play them
  • The notes in the spaces in the staff from the bottom up are F-A-C-E
  • The notes on the lines on the staff from the bottom up are E-G-B-D-F (Every Good Boy Does Fine)
  • Play along with the video to get the timing
