Music Theory: Staccato and 2nd and 3rd Intervals

When learning to play the piano there are going to be many music theory lessons along the way. Here are two quick theory lessons.

The first lesson is: Staccato – when you see the dot above or below the note, you will play the note short and detached. If the dot is beside the note that is not a staccato note.

The second lesson is: 2nd and 3rd Intervals. An interval is the difference between two pitches.
